- Right, to get a different disk icon to appear when you insert a 'bad' disk
- into the drive... (Well it`s nice when I`m using PC0: and DF0: is of course
- not recognised)
-
- 1) Load icon edit
- 2) Design your disk... (Or adapt the default one - select type to disk
- and hit new)
- 3) Save your disk as default
- 4) Go to shell
- 5) type: cd envarc:sys
- 6) type: copy def_disk.info def_kick.info
- 7) load your favourite binary file editor...
- for me: zap def_kick.info
- 8) Change offset $30 to 7 (It is currently 1)
- 9) Reboot and insert a 'duff' disk and watch the correct icon appear.
-
- Hope this solves the problems....
-
- Justin.
